Glad to see the Fuji X-T1 get some serious recognition on Wired's 'Best Gadgets of 2014'. They do a great job of summarizing the popular opinions of mirrorless cameras in this statement:
It's funny when I talk to friends and colleagues who shoot Nikon or Canon exclusively who are beyond-shocked when I tell them that I do about 80% of my work with the Fuji X-T1. They think its a toy, or something that is incapable of producing high quality images because its small. Plus Nikon and Canon shooters have never thought of Fuji as great alternative. They were busy making lame point-and-shoot cameras, followed by interesting rangefinder-ish cameras. They hit a home run with the X-T1 - it's an amazing camera aimed at pros, and I'm glad they're getting the attention they deserve.
