Deserve What You Want

This year, the world lost Charlie Munger, a great business leader and terrific role model for anyone who’s interested in building a lasting business and legacy. Charlie Munger was known for many great quotes, one of which is one of my all-time favorites:

“The safest way to get what you want…is to deserve what you want.”

It’s simple, elegant, and says so much in just a few words. When I read this quote, I can’t help but think of what pretty much all of our clients want when it comes to Marketing: attention. Not ‘attention to support their vanity’, but rather ‘attention to elevate their Brand, ultimately supporting growing their footprint.’ The attention they seek is supposed to be converted into fuel for business development, employee recruitment, fundraising, etc. So let’s revisit Charlie’s genius quote and insert what clients really want:

“The safest way to get the attention a Brand wants…is to deserve the attention your Brand wants.”

In this Year in Review, we wanted to highlight a few of the ways we think our Clients are deserving the attention they’re getting.
